"Life in a Day"

YouTube, a popular video-sharing site, is set to present a feature-length documentary film about the ordinary lives of many random individuals from across the world over the course of one day. The program which aims to generate millions of perspectives from across the world is taking place on July 24, 2010.

"Life in a Day" will feature snippets of life, from the ordinary to the extraordinary taken anytime on July 24th and should be uploaded on YouTube "Life in a Day" channel before July 31. You Tube and its partners Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) and Ridley Scott (Gladiator) will then identify the most compelling footage that would later be edited and incorporated into a film.

"Life in a Day" winners will be credited as co-directors, instead of being awarded with cash, and will be invited to attend its premier at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in January.

Interested participants should be at least 13 years old, should have a YouTube account, and should adhere to the YouTube Community Guidelines. Video footage can be 15 seconds or 2 hours.
